SUBSTITUTIONS/CANCELLATIONS
Conference Substitutions/Cancellations Policy:
All conference registration substitutions and cancellations must be submitted in writing to the First American office. You may fax, mail or email your substitution/cancellation request. Cancellations received by 4/22/08 are subject to a $50 administrative fee per registration. Refunds will be processed within ten days of the end of the conference. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after 4/22/08.

Pat McCool
GMAC Mortgage Corporation Default Manager of Property Preservation and Conveyance
Pat has 25 years in Loan Servicing and currently serves as the Default Manager for the Property Preservation area which includes the reporting team, reverse mortgages, FHA pre and post conveyance, hazard claims, code violations, and reconciliation department. In this capacity Pat McCool has developed procedures and process controls to reduce losses to GMAC Mortgage, as well as improve investor compliance for performance of inspections and property preservation work. Pat has been instrumental in developing open dialogue with M&M Contractors allowing his staff to consistently get is properties in conveyance condition within timelines, 95% or greater each month. Pat has overseen the successful growth of his portfolio by over 150% in the past year, demonstrating a keen insight in process improvements. He currently oversees a staff of 63.
Doug Leeper
Code Enforcement Manager - City of Chula Vista, CA
Doug has over 21 years experience in law enforcement and code enforcement. He is a graduate of the San Bernardino Sheriffs Academy and holds certification in Post Disaster Assessment and Management, Advanced and Supervisory Code Enforcement, Clandestine Methamphetamine Laboratory Identification, Field Officer Training, Officer Safety and Field Tactics, Basic Fire Science and Mediation. He was a founding board member of California Association of Code Enforcement Officials (CACEO), the nation’s largest association with nearly 2,000 members. He is a member of the American Association of Code Enforcement, the California Association of Code Enforcement Officials, the National Vacant Properties Campaign, the California Hoarding Task Force and the California Municipal Revenue and Tax Association.
Mark Morrow
Principal Inspector, Department of Building and Safety - City of Los Angeles, CA
Mark has over 30 years of service with the City of Los Angeles. He manages staff responsible for vacant, vandalized residential and commercial buildings. Co-created the City of Los Angeles Nuisance Abatement Program establishing a team of code enforcement inspectors, police officers and deputy city attorneys in an effort to maintain safe neighborhoods and preserve property.
Attorney David R. Endres
Former member of the REOMAC Board of Directors
Studied at the Universite de Strasbourg, France, and received his B.A. from Indiana University with high honors and membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and was Vice President and counsel for the fiduciary services division of First Interstate Bank of Denver. He is currently admitted to the state bars of California (Real Property Section) and Colorado, and the federal bars of the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern districts of California and the district of Colorado. Mr. Endres has served as an Instructor for the University of California paralegal certification program and was an attorney of record in the reported case of La Jolla Mesa Vista Improvement Association v. La Jolla Mesa Vista Homeowners' Association, (1990) 220 Cal. App. 3d 1187. He has over 20 years of experience with wrongful foreclosure defense, judicial foreclosures, real property title litigation including quiet title litigation, fraud recovery actions, title insurance litigation, surplus funds claims, real estate fraud and broker liability defense, creditors bankruptcy representation, mechanics lien claims, loss mitigation, and concentrated litigation experience in landlord-tenant cases, including complex rent control issues. Mr. Endres recently completed a one-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of REOMAC, a national organization of REO lenders, and is a frequent conference speaker on topics of interest to lenders and brokers.
Elsa Lewis SVP/National Sales Director/REO Williams & Williams Auctioneers
Elsa oversees both sales and business development for the corporate division. She also is a member of the company’s executive council, which serves the CEO in a management/consulting capacity regarding company issues and direction. Her chief responsibilities include identifying potential clients, developing and maintaining relationships with current clients and managing the expansion of the current client roster.
Since her start at Williams & Williams, Lewis has succeeded in doubling sales each quarter over the past year. A 26-year veteran of the real estate and financial services industry and 20-year veteran of the REO industry, Lewis is credited with growing the client base of Williams & Williams Real Estate Owned (REO) Division by 90 percent.
Prior to joining Williams & Williams, Lewis was director of business development for First Credit Solutions/MidFirst Bank, an Oklahoma-based financial institution. She held the position of business development manager for Tulsa-based Commercial Financial Services, managing the HUD REO portfolio. Additionally, she was an REO asset specialist position with The Resolution Trust Corporation and national sales manager for The Associates/CorporateLink, one of the first REO asset management companies in the industry. As the national sales manager for Sooner Federal Savings & Loan, Lewis managed an ongoing inventory of over 3,500 REO.
Lewis is an active member of the Real Estate Owned Managers Association (REOMAC) and a licensed real estate broker.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Organization Leadership and Master of Business Administration from Edmond, Okla.-based Southern Nazarene University with the distinct honor of induction into Delta Mu Delta, the National Honor Society of over 49,000 business professionals and presently services as an adjunct professor in the adult studies business undergraduate program. She also holds a third degree black belt in karate.
Joseph K. Taylor SCRP, Executive Vice President - Valuation Services, LLC
Joe is an Executive Vice President with Valuation Services, LLC and is responsible for marketing and client relations. He has been involved in the corporate relocation appraisal industry for over the past 20 years.
Valuation Services specializes in the management of appraisals that are generated to reflect the anticipated sale price of the subject property based on a specific timeframe into the future. Valuation Services client portfolio covers a spectrum of clients from large Fortune 500 companies down to small unique firms.
Joe holds the Senior Certified Relocation Professional (SCRP) designation from the Employee Relocation Council and has served on ERC’s Industry Advisory Board, Mobility’s Editorial Committee and several ERC national conference planning boards. He has been awarded several awards including ERC’s Meritorious Service Award and ERC’s Achievement Award. Joe is a frequent speaker and moderator for ERC at both national and regional conferences.
